GFRG – Plaster Alternative

Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG) consists of high strength resistant glass fibers bonded with high density Alpha based gypsum cement to produce panels that traditionally were done with plaster castings. The GFRG is lighter in weight, superior in strength, can be formed to a better detail, and much easier to install than the traditional plaster castings.

GFRG is cost effective and includes major benefits over plaster:

  • 1) Less structural support needed by GFRG panels make installation simpler and cost effective.

  • 2) GFRG panels can form complex shapes expanding usage significantly.

  • 3) GFRG panels come in many sizes, even extra-large sizes.

  • 4) GFRG products are pre-made, whereas plaster needs to be casted onsite.

  • 5) Premade panels can be customized and colored to match any design.

  • 6) Superior strength leads to resistance from high impacts and requires less overall care.

  • 7) GFRG ships cheaper due to how lightweight the overall product is.
